Unlike Deck13's previous games, Atlas Fallen is a more traditional action game. Players can use three different weapons, though they can only carry two at any given time. With the gauntlet, players can shape the sand around them into weapons. The player is equipped with an ancient gauntlet that allows them to manipulate sand. At the beginning of the game, players can create and customize their own player avatar.
